Thursday Edition
Why do I find this weird? The British Army recently announced that they are involved in the production of a new running shoe that carries the army's crossed swords logo and "embodies the Army's values and standards," whatever that means.
One of the army's lieutenant colonels admitted that that a commercial flop could tarnish the armed forces' image. No worries, I guess, since the army said that they would "proceed with caution and take any evasive action necessary to avoid being labelled a "fashion" company." Will they really? Proceed with caution? How? Evasive action? Huh?

Steve:Darn you man.. you always throw a blog title and sucker me into trying to figure out the relationship between title and the contents of your blog !! Second time dude ..you got me there once again....or was that "the little alice" in your head which brought out the title ??
.. Ok ok back to the echo chamber..to make my point, gven 5 plus years there will be stablity in conflict areas. This will entitle a lot of army surplus that becomes redundent ..shoes, cloths, hats you name it .. this will need to be sold..and of course it needs a brand. why sell ??? because plus5 years the technology and advancements will change so radically that DOD's the world over will need to restock.. so whats better then to create and brand and sell the darn stuff eh ??
