Thursday Edition
Get China On Your Mind!
Read up on China.
Read books.
Troll the Web.
Talk to people about China.
Initiate a China Study Group.
Ponder China.
Visit China.
Make China "meditation" part of your day's ritual.
This applies whatever you're about. This is not a "call to action" so much as a "call to awareness." Ignorance about China (India) (Asia) is ... simply ... NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Hint (per me):
China is not a "problem."
China is not a "threat."
China may not be an "opportunity."
China is a Reality ... a Part of Our Lives. (Period.)
Act accordingly.

Unfortunately, our leaders are not making this easy.
From the Financial Times Asia Desk, 21 Nov: China Pulling Out of CES.
This is bad. Very, very bad. It's not just CES, it's a lot of shows across a lot of markets from electronics to building products to manufacturing.
What would you suggest to those of us looking to bring Chinese products to these shores?

"COMING SOON TO A TOURIST ATTRACTION NEAR YOU: 100 MILLION CHINESE HOLIDAYMAKERS"
Banner headline, Financial Times. This one is slightly dated (Sept 2, 04)
