Thursday Edition
All of us lucky enough to have hung out in Mexico (or the likes of SF's Mission District) know that what we Americans call "Mexican food" ... ain't. Well, I'm in Dubai right now—and can report that what we call "hommous" ... ain't either! True Middle Eastern Hommous and Arabic Mezzeh are delights of the first order; Shaw's hommous (New England-style Hommous? Oxymoron?) ... and I've no doubt they mean well ... comes from another planet, if not galaxy.

I could not help but laugh at our attempts to mimic hommous. Then I found myself wondering how the New England clam chowder tastes over there. I'll bet it's almost as good as the Shaw's hommous. At least we have the Red Sox--and this year, there's no imitation.

Hi from Dubai Tom,
I really Enjoyed the leadership workshop you gave.....it has convinced me that leaving the good-ship corporate and becoming a dream-maker is the way to go.....
Don't let Napolean look-alikes charge you more that 1 Dihram to get across the creek!!
Looking forward to making my mark!.

Tom:
I am heading out to the Bay Area -- ok, San Jose actually -- next week and I will be making a detour to Pancho Villa in San Mateo (I hate going into the city).
Want me to FedEx home a Super Burrito? Steak and Shrimp? Carne Asada? Pick your poison!

that´s why the brand is nothing but the customers construction of an experience. in the experience of tasting, that probably happens in certain context one of the customers says looks or smells like mexican, whatever mexican could mean to that person. and then the idea spreads. seems easy to be done.
