Wednesday Edition
Microsoft©Office Live Meeting ... our friend Steve Farber is presenting one on Thursday. You may remember him from his Cool Friend interview. He's the president of Extreme Leadership, Inc., and author of The Radical Leap. Obviously, his language is tinged by his having been part of Tom Peters Company for a while. You have the chance to see if his ideas are, too, by joining in. Go to the Live Meeting site to register.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

I caught a previous MS LiveMeeting with Tom and Dan Pink. Awesome. Looking forward to this one!
I figured I would also take this opportunity to thank Tom personally(?). I have been an avid reader /follower since the '80's. I started with "Excellence", and read everything since including "Thriving on Chaos" and "Liberation Management" (Remember those Tom?).
Having my own (thriving - yes thriving!) consulting business since 1991, Tom's works were always there for me. Offering encouragement, providing motivation, challenging me. (Sorry Tom - Could not get through Business School in a Box though it still sits on my shelf taunting me!)
More recently "The Professional Service Firm 50" and "Project04" have been my staple.
In short, Tom's works always "spoke" to me. But not until today was I "touched" by them.
I recently picked up a copy of Brand You 50 and have been reading it in bits and pieces - off and on for a couple weeks. Good stuff! But honestly, I was not overwhelmed until... Item 35 !!!!!
First came a grin, then a smile, then a welling up of tears (well almost, I was on the train and I am a guy after all!).
Thanks Tom! If you are ever in New York - I would love to take you and your wife (who I am convinced must be a Saint of the Highest Order!) out to dinner!
I AM Will Mechem.
