What happens when all this is said, there has to be one tribe that gets it.
Yes chaos is interested in us and evolution is knowing that even change changes, this is the CAUSE.
I belong to the tribe that love changes but out there , yes out there ,look out your window now there s one World that is not interested in changes,theres a another World that notice them when its to late and develop similar things and we have the World who love changes and are building the bridges that close the gap betwen creativity and business objectives.

We know ,you know theres a very large tribe that does not get this , how find the balance of making business with a similar CREDO since borned, with that tribe that is preparing themselfs every day to have a smoth living and a healthy death ,seeing that they do not realize they are truly alive .(pls avoid doing business with this kind of tribe, is not the answer, I put passion thinking they can change)
I rejected and showed the door of my office to a few of them,because they don t understand what making the difference is , what emotional creativity conveys and what innovation with true words and design mean .
Don t you see any amount of companies that praise they are disruptive and in the re inventing philophy and finaly play politics just to wait at my door to catch those I send out.

One of the things I like to do when reviewing other peoples work is to pick out a slide that makes me stop and ponder the ramifications. Many times, I probably take the idea or concept down another road that the original author didn’t intend, especially when you don’t have the context or knowledge of the author’s thoughts. Slide #84 is it. (Pardon me while I get a tad technical). With the advent of distributed technologies like web services the idea of a corporation actually owning data, applications, infrastructure, or anything else is fading fast. Information Technology (IT) groups will become organizers of services, not employers of technology. Of course, if you are going to toss the technology out and give to the “Best Source(er)†then you had better develop a center of excellence around your ability to catalog, evaluate, and manage distributed technical assets. Neither traditional accounting nor IT has figured out a methodology of asset management unless you can place your finger on it. In a world driven by information and knowledge… Well “we are not preparedâ€.

PLEASE do not paint ALL women as shoppers. I am a woman and I HATE to shop. I buy as much as possible over the web. If I have to venture into a store, I know what I want and where I have to go buy it. I go in, buy exactly what I need/want and get the h*** out.

Tom Peters, I am so glad you exist in my time. Seriously. For many, many years I have felt like the proverbial square peg trying to force herself into the staid, round hole. I've never really "fit" into many a corporate culture although I understood it. I just didn't know what to do with my creativity. Sure, many organizations say they want it and now it's sought passionately; but when the pen is put to the requisition...revelation time. Maybe "they" aren't as keen on it as they thought.
(Creativity is messy. Very messy.)
I've been observing the growth of the coaching industry. (Which is my biz) Many, many women are involved. Why? I think it gives them a place to fly with their creativity. They are Dan Pink's "creators and empathizers, pattern recognizers and meaning makers." Many of these women were on a fast track to irrelevance. They stopped, got off the track and decided to throw their hat in the ring for something radical. (Imagine that, someone paying a woman to tell them how to use the principles of yoga in the office..as an example.)
It is very, very exciting. We are in such a pivotal moment in history. In 2003, I was worried. Now I'm saying, "Bring it on, baby." Thanks for your generosity with the ideas and concepts. It's got my mind rockin'!

Would you consider addressing the tension that exists in most companies that want or need to change?
There is a tug of war that's occurring in our world of innovation. Call it Diverse Alignment (or maybe Aligned Diversity?). Two seemingly divergent beliefs/behaviors that need to exist, grudgingly, together.
Diverse = eclectic, independent, exclusive, radical, unpredictable, passionate, Lone Ranger/Anti-Establishment versus
Aligned = steady, inclusive, safe, predictable, ‘in-the-lines,’ team-minded/cooperative. One innovates/creates/executes; the other makes sure that the bills get paid.
The almost perfect (business) world = Diversity is the spirit and passion of an organization and Alignment is the exoskeleton (structure) that keeps it all together, though it’s completely pliable and stretchable. But Diversity is always dominant.
Liked the real estate stories – how about developing a “who’s next†list of industries/professions/functions? Make it a “what if†game.

yes tom - the slides get some of the point across but we mere web viewers remain clueless regarding the more cryptic ones and just have to pass them by wondering what the hell they mean
must we have to cough up $60K plus expenses to get the full picture?
one thing that I firmly concur with you is that "design is everything" and your powerpoint slides rate about a d- in design
perhaps you should outsource them
content - if we could get the full picture - is awesome!

This was a little too POP and not enough WOW for me. The most soulful part of the slide show seems reduced to buzzwords. Hopeful the speech said more.
Maybe I'm not the audience for this message, 'cause to me the most compelling part WAS the graphics. Don't get me wrong, the direction seems timely, but where's the soul? There's a lot of excitement still grasping for identity here.
These were some VERY tasty tidbits in clear, flavorless, tepid water. Not quite a soup.

One more comment to demonstrate that I have way too much time on my hands. Have you noticed the expressions of the four gentlemen in the evolutionary drawing on slide #43. Only the Farmer is actually smiling indicating satisfaction in doing an honest days work. The Factory worker seems to grimace at his plight of welding for 12 hours a day. The Information worker is evidently the unhappiest of them all. Clearly, heading to his 8 hours of purgatory where he will face “Dilbertian†gravitational forces that hold him to the corporate standard of mediocrity. The Creativity worker seems to be searching for the reason for wearing Dutch wooden shoes, a Surgeon Gown with Stethoscope, and painting with only five colors. Perhaps the Farmer is simply laughing at the others as he returns to his home to watch the sunset, have a glass of tea, and sleep with the fewest worries. :-}

Some posts here seem pretty rude. Bleating about the slides and such. TP and his colleagues are, after all, running a business, and it follows that you do not put up all your work for free access. No-one is obliged to visit.
Anyway - a presentation/talk is not an article, or a book - you have to fill in the gaps if you are only reading the slides.
Personally - I like it here - plenty to think over, much to learn, and no little amount of inspiration too. Thank Tom.
