Great email from ... JUDITH SINNARD. (smarteplans.com) Judith has a "little" idea. She provides eServices to the Houston real estate community. She measures rooms at a MLS home, provides at a Click dimensions thereof ... as well as photos of each room. Little deal? Big deal? The average days-on-market for one of "her" homes was 33 last year, compared to the average of 82 days. "Little" idea. Big industry! Big difference!

Am doing some real preliminary shopping for a new home. Peeves me to hell when I check out a listing online that has no/poor photos, and/or has incomplete information.
Some people(RE agents, for example) have the nerve to tell me that it's a deliberate "sales tactic"(ie withhold some info so they have to call/visit). I know that houses have few substitution options, but cmon. I'll just call it for what it is: stupid, ignorant and lazy!
We're a decade+ into the Internet delivering voluminous amounts of easy-to-find, instantaneous research/data -- stop fighting it. Information is a necessity to an increasingly hungry and expectant consumer. The ones that Get It are using that to their advantage.

We have great frustration with the realtors in our area. It seems they do as little as possible to help try to sell a house. Maybe they think they can better "sell" the house in person. The fact is WE can save them a lot of wasted time if we can see more photos and have all of the information in front of us on the screen.
Im trying to talk my wife into becoming a realtor because she seems to understand better what people want to see then the realtors in this area....its crazy!
