Thursday Edition
The biggest news in blogworld these days is ... itself. Halley Suitt alerted us to this post about the controversy. The question is has there been impropriety where people got paid for blogging. To my mind, the bigger issue is blogging vs. journalism. But I don't think anybody reads blogs with the same mindset as they do a researched, (presumably) fact-checked article in a reputable publication. Something I can enthusiastically agree with, however, is this post from Devin Reams on Blogosphere News. He uses Tom's endorsement of blogging as validation. And the circle is complete, because his post brings you back to our site.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Crooked Blogs? Blogging is the "quinta essentia" of free expression. Those who cheat are prisoners of their own stupidity. We want ideas and authenticity, not faked spirits.
To all my friends at the Tom Peters Blog I tell you I have started my own Blog.I hope some ideas drop from my experience to share with all of you.

Thank you Peter for your support. The meaning of life is LOVE. Love is the highest experience human beings can achieve. In all religions the deepest experiences of closeness with God are LOVE experiences.
The difficult thing with love is that it can be disguised and mixed with many others states of the Soul. That´s why having a godlike or mystic experience is so difficult. But once you know LOVE everything is different. You have reached the shores of the meaningful live.

I love blogging - Tom's blog is wonderful.
Blog or die in my opinion - instant communication with virtual friends all round the world - based on trust and integrity.
Of course cynics will bury their heads and deny and they will watch the rest of the world storm ahead in the competitive sense whilst they still bemoan the progress of communication.
Felix you make some powerful points - did you see my posting on a previous topic - this is it;
Leon Trotsky on life
"Life is not an easy matter. You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness."
I left the UK National Health Service (NHS) in October 2004 after 35 years in the NHS as man and boy from 16 years of age.
It seemed a massive step to ‘get out of my comfort blanket’ but I felt I had the ability to succeed as my own man. Time has moved on three months and I am delighted to say things are better than I imagined.
The feeling of freedom and liberation is immense.
I can now see things so much more clearly. I am focused on making my business successful and I have found a new life/work balance.
Everyday we walk and eat well. I have joined my local health club. I feel better. We are having fun together - I am having fun at work!! - yep definitely possible to have fun at work - I am the proof!!
Without a doubt the greatest thing has been the love of my partner Annie whom I love dearly. Annie has been wonderfully supportive of my leap into the ‘real world’ of business after many years in a large organisation.
Leon Trotsky is correct - my 'great idea' was not to make million of pounds – although obviously that would be great - my big idea was to be a player and try to make a difference. I feel I am doing that.

Blogs are just as vulnerable to human folly as anything else.
Still, as somebody who takes blogging quite seriously (too seriously, some would say), your blog is what you want it to be. Make a difference, or not. The ball is your court. This isn't Hollywood or Madison Avenue- there's no evil executive/gatekeeper to blame if things don't go your way.
In the blogosphere, the light is always green. Some people can handle it, some people it utterly terrifies.

[Apologizes profusely for the double comment...]

Do we really need another person in the office with another "C" in his or her title? Isn't it better when everybody in the organisation had a right to blog anyway? Total transparancy might be too much for some companies but than, to establish a department for blogging? Knock knock?
I wrote an entry about this in my blog as well. Discussion welcome :)

It's a revolution. The forces of change can't be stemmed.
