Thursday Edition
DogLovers-BlogLovers out there? I'm off. Meet Susan in Boston, then Houston-Bangkok-Miami-Wherever. Rosie, Queen, watches me go. She half raises an eyebrow from her perch on the kitchen couch. She's not "officially" allowed up there, but the minute I leave that's where she goes—we both understand. Our "Queen" is eleven, a Grande Dame. I have the distinct feeling that I'm here at her will. She runs the place, I visit. Her look says, "Off again, eh? Well, you're welcome to stop by when it's over; as you know, I'll be here. Be well, Dude."
Right?
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Halley got a flood of comments on Sunday with her weather entry. I can't wait to see how many Tom gets by mentioning his DOG. Come on, everybody, we WANT to see your I-love-my-dog stories. We love them, too.
(Oh-oh, this all-caps thing is catchy.)

Our first dog was a black lab named Paris that was allowed to sleep inside the house. At night, she would sneak up to the bedroom and climb into bed with my new wife. Then during the night she would slowly place her four paws on M’s back and push. Push until she could get between us and establish who was in charge. Eventually, the honeymoon was over and M decided that new rules needed to be invoked and Paris became an outside dog. Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned.

THE CHINESE MUNCH AND SNACK ON le dogue. Actually - they apparently NOW crave KFC chicken with Chinese side dishes. USA-China - the newest, coolest partnership.

As you can see from the link below, our new chocolate Labradoodle puppy (appropriately named Coco) became a marketing maven right off the bat:

Only in our household a little over a month and I can't remember life without her. :-)

During our visit during the Manchester Summit, she seemed to fit right in laying on the floor saying "You are all welcome here as long as you scratch my stomach."
Travel Safe.
