Wednesday Edition
On an entirely different note (getting beyond CEO idiocy—no mean feat), there are many reasons I love the Four Seasons hotels. One, not so small, is ... Flower Power! The floral displays are mind-boggling! Glorious! Imaginative! A Big Deal! (And I'm usually immune to such stuff.) In Chicago. Lisbon. And here in Bangkok. I think that even in a "big business" like Issy Sharp's (4Seasons CEO), Flower Power can truly be a Lovemark Anchor!

Hi Tom,
If you're in Bangkok (I love Bangkok) be sure to check out the flower arrangements at The Oriental and The Peninsula hotels, across the river from one another. Sigh... you lucky dog. Missed you at the Blog Business Summit in Seattle last week. But enjoyed enormously meeting your associate Erik Hansen. Travel safely...

Ah, I remember Lisboa, quite the city. I hope you were able to visit the Bairro Alto district to experience the "fados" sung.
Meanwhile, back in NYC, I love the flowers huddled on the street corners with the plastic walls pulled down during the cold & rain. Peaking my head between the sheets, the dazzling smell engulfs me, dizzying my senses.
From now on, upon my visit to NYC, I will head straight to a vendor, buy the most fragrant bunch and take them back to my room. Nothing welcomes the human condition like Earth's gift.
