Shopping for a telephone accessory the other day, I noticed a retail salesman hopelessly floundering in search of a phone with a large enough display/buttons to suit the needs of his late 50s customer.
The only model that passed the vision test was a really nice hospital-white corded number with no caller-id, no programmable speed dial, no headset jack, no built-in answering machine, no cordless options, no time display, and a style that softly whispered, "Hey baby, orthopedic shoes are cool."
Even my old man's cooler than that.
