MAKE "DECENTRALIZATION" YOUR MANTRA!
No!
No!
No!
"Decentralization" is not a "CEO Thing."
It's an "everybody thing."
Decentralization is an ... ATTITUDE!
A Willingness (DESIRE!) to "delegate" (give Others their head.)
Be a "genetic" "decentralizer"—age 18 or 88!

Agreed 1001%. Decentralization is nothing but getting away from one's ego and trusting others to do their best. Just that nothing else.

How will you convince people to decentralize when they consider centralization as a cornerstone for job security? Managers need to be convinced that it is the centralization that would ultimately lead to job loss. By being closed ,or I should say holding to his/her fiefdom, the manager tends to stifle innovation and growth. This is very detrimental to the organization's survival, especially in a knowledge economy. Considering the importance of this trait, we need to research and find out whether the decentralization attitude is a matter of nature or nurture.
