Halley,
Thanks for the link. Wow..very cool stuff. At this moment, I would give anything to be a tech engineer. I like the sunglasses with MP3 devices built-in. Who knows what other everyday objects could be jacked for another purpose? Hmm. I may have to get this 'mook' to see what's cookin'.

Thanks Halley -
Books that are colorful and read like a magazine are important - makes it easy to learn and keep pace - and you can be laid out on the couch resting up for the next triathlon - while easily turning the pages.

"MAKE Is A Mook" has to be the all-time best blog title ever.

If it's by O'Reilly, chances are it will be superb.
I guess the people at TP are aware of them, for anyone else, they are the geek choice of publisher. I've heard people refer to having "a shelf of O'Reillys" as a job perk.
Incidentally, M.R., if you want to know about strange and interesting stuff that goes on in tech hacking (like someone who built a Linux-based automated cat feeder), keep an eye out at tech site www.slashdot.org for occassional stories.

Tim,
Thanks for the link. How fun! And it's a good thing I'm not an engineer. If I were able to build anything for cats, it would prove to be detrimental to its health. I am a dog person through and through. Cats are too sneaky.
