Thursday Edition
Tom's word, in this case. When we posted pdf files of Tom's success tips here, a reader urged us to develop more viral distribution of Tom's ideas. Our first step in taking that advice was to turn to ChangeThis, a source of "thoughtful, rational, constructive arguments about important issues." They've added the first half of Tom's 100 Ways to Succeed to the manifestos at their site, where users are encouraged to email, blog, or otherwise share what's there. It's all thought-provoking, and it's all free. You can subscribe to their newsletter for a heads-up on new manifestos every two weeks (or so). Check it out.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Tom as card carrying member of the ACLU!
Amazing - considering the lack of progressiveness and reasoning power of ACLU filings and opinions. They seem to be anti-Libertarian also.

Hey - I was that reader! Very cool to get Tom into the Manifesto format, but even cooler to see the responsiveness! Rock on Tom Peters!

John, Dear John ... nonsense! I am effectively a libertarian, small "L." My ACLU association is in re one thing ... the First Ammendment. While travelling in Argentina a couple of decades ago I came to the personal conclusion that little was more important than that lovely afterthought, the 1st ammendment. And I decided that as an "obnoxious speaker" I would do my part to support the defense of Ammendment #1. I established, at the ACLU, a "Brennan Fellowship" named after the Great Defender of A1, Justice William Brennan. I'd do it all over again.

There is some really excellent work on the Change This site - I love the idea and the manifesto format. And all thanks to Tom and team here for introducing me to it. I would encourage anyone to sign up for the email alert - they don't overdo it or abuse it.
