Friday Edition
With HP's visible troubles front & center, there's much talk about "corporate culture." Steve Jobs has his own perspective, re Apple. Apple's Good Times these days, he says, are a product of the world ... FINALLY ... catching up with Steve & Apple. (I agree.)
Here's Steve:
"The great thing is that Apple's DNA hasn't changed. The place where Apple has been standing for the last two decades is exactly where computer technology and the consumer electronics markets are converging. So it's not like we're having to cross the river to go somewhere else; the other side of the river is coming to us."—Steve Jobs/

The second that Steve Jobs thinks the world has finally caught up to Apple, is the second Apple is now behind the world. Some people do not think the world revolves around the Apple geeks. Steve can keep the vision, but needs to get off his high horse.

Steve is always bold, brash, brilliant, furious, and cocky.
It' aint braggin' if he can back it up, and he does indeed back it up.
I own 5 Apple computers for my home, and 8 PC's for my company.
I can't wait to convert my office PC's to Mac's.

As soon as we take all the leaders off their horses, then we've got no generals to lead the charge. What Apple did is discover the soul of the computer. While other computer makers tout price savings and number crunching, Apple touts art and inspiration.
Careful who you call geeks. They might be your next boss.

Apple's always been a great company, tTalk with anyone who works or worked there and it comes across plainly.
Apple's not always been a well run or lead company. Including some of Steve's first time around.
What I love about the company today is that they've found a great niche, and the world loves them for it. Forget about the religion of "open or not" - forget about pioneering a space and then being overshadowed. Dwell on the sheer artistry of the products they make today, and how customers love them.
Stay on the horse, Steve. Ride on, my brother.
