TP Wire Service Launches

tpws-masthead.jpg

There's something new from the tompeters.com team, and I think it's COOL! Check out the TP Wire Service. We've developed our own news service. Why? To put all the stories from myriad media sources about cool companies and cool people and the work they do on a silver platter for you. This is a place for breaking news, tracking trends, and innovation. All the hot topics that we think would be of interest to you. We wanted a way to highlight those without necessarily having to comment on each one. (You'll find a little more information on the FAQ page.)

Please, please, please let us know what you think. You can comment here or you can send email to info@tpwireservice.com.

Tom Peters posted this on 05/20/05.

I think it´s a very good tool. I saw it yesterday for the first time and wondered why you had not told about it.

Posted by felix gerena at May 16, 2005 3:25 PM

I hope you sometimes read the articles written by less known bloggers and not only the big stars, the best sellers.

I like it - I will be a regular visitor to the healthcare section - thanks TP Group - great that Tom rattles the cage of healthcare - keep it up!

Happy blogging

It's a great idea. The design and layout are as easy on the eye and as easy to navigate as this blog is. I've only checked in and haven't yet read much of the content, but I've a feeling I'm going to be a regular visitor.

As Jen says, look forward to easy access to it from the blog.

Thanks for providing it.

This is really very helpful to start a day. Thank you.

Wow, Great stuff! Thank you so much for putting this together!

Posted by Phil Gerbyshak at May 16, 2005 5:32 PM

Nice initiative & well thot abt!

The challenge ahead for the NEWS Team is to use really intelligent 'intelligent agents' to capture the most recent, up-to-date & reliable news that readers can use and collate & present them in a manner that is a lil more user-friendly.

Keep up the good work.

Freaking Fantastic! I love it. Nice way to tap into some of your thought waves without you having to blog on every point. Thanks....

When did tp get into the news biz ?? Anyhoot, begin taking feeds today -lets see how well the articles fit into the re-imaigne scorecard.

The value proposition is great , as long as the content offering is balanced to the scorecards within Re-Imaigne.. Now, thats a thought that --they folks, who pick the news articles will need to contend with !!

i.e. Bringing news into the convergence paradigm to sustain re-imagination the TP way !!!!!!

May I also request for a tab that denotes who on the staff picked the story ??

Posted by /pd at May 17, 2005 4:40 PM

Thank you all for the good suggestions!
Jens, the button is now operational on the front page here.
Felix, we're not ruling anything out. We'll be sure to investigate "lesser" blogs.
Noel, the credit for the look all goes to Phoebe Espiritu. She works with Seth Godin on changethis.com, and we enlisted her for this.
Peter, Shelley Dolley is picking all the articles right now, though we all hope to get our hand in. And almost every chapter from Re-imagine has a category at the wire service. We'll take a look and complete the list if needed.

All these positive comments! WOW! Thanks!!!

Wonderful - keep up your amazing work...

Tom, I hope you are spending time on your tractor. Might just awaken that Seabee spirit of yours. Make you feel real young and vibrant. The Wire service is a grand tool and I love the way it is designed around the whole re-engineering architecture.

38 ways to win an argument. 38 ways the left uses to not debate ideas, but to attempt to win at all costs. Grow up Tom. Put your panties back in your wife's dresser and quit being such a damn pussy. Diversity a bit, too. Higher some edgy right-wingers. Plant them in your staff and watch the fun and learnings.

Going by the quality of topics covered here, this is one of the best offered by the TP's world recently.

How do we subscribe to this through e-mail or RSS?

Posted by Nataraja Upadhya at May 19, 2005 1:23 AM

Nataraja, scroll down the right-hand column on the tpwireservice page. you can subscribe to the whole feed or you can subscribe to individual category areas such as healthcare, innovation, leadership, marketing, etc. glad you're enjoying the site.

Posted by Erik at May 19, 2005 8:08 AM

hahahah..I just converted some good buddies to be TPWire Subscribers.. !!

For reasons unknown to me,they never took TP WEblog RSS , but it beats the hell out of me, they take the TPWire Feed !!

Any TP community members feel that the WireSErvices is much more cutting edge then the Weblog ?? I myself never thought of it like that, but looking back to the recent converts, just leaving me thinking -- on the social behavourial patterns and info cull methods..!! What is more better, a weblog from a thought leader or a WireSerervice from many thought leaders being created by a meta thought leader ??

Just asking the TP comminuty ... :)-

Wow, you know what? I have started teaching a class on Entrepreneurship and I was looking for oodles of inspiring material for my class. I told them Entrepreneurship is about ONE person - it zeroes in on you, your mind, your attitude. The course objective: BRING ALIVE THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THOUGHT AND PRACTICE.

So I wanted to introduce them to material that will make blood course faster through their brains and bodies.

This is it. This is going in my course pack alongside lessons from The Apprentice, etc.

I posted this down below, but realize it fits better here.

Take a look at what online reporting is starting to look like from the BBC. We get to read the article, sure, but we also get to tell the reporter and all the readers exactly what we think about it since the article comes with its own blog.

Jason,
I've seen your message here, and I've passed it on to the people who can do something about it. It's quite possible, given its seeming popularity, that tpws doesn't have enough server capacity. We're on the problem.

Thank you. Good weekend to all.

Posted by cathy at May 20, 2005 2:35 PM

Have a great weekend too Cathy and all friends over the water ...and over here of course!

TP site is a great daily fix
