Thanks. We who "married up" do have to look out for each other so thanks for the reminder. I guess old dogs can learn new tricks...I finished shopping a whole day early this year. MP

My wedding anniversary (I should say OUR wedding anniversary) is the 15th, so the 14th it's a great reminder.

Funny how the English mistaking their February (Winter) St. Valentine with the Italian (late Spring) St. Valentine has resulted in a February event featuring late Spring flowers and activities. "Chaucer and the Cult of Saint Valentine" by H. A. Kelly (Leiden: Brill, 1986)

Yes, and it's my wife's birthday also. I, of course, remembered!

I work for a Japanese company and it's traditional (get this) for the women to provide chocolates for the men in the office! I'm eating my "giri choco" as I type...
Then on March 14th there's "White Day" when the men have to reciprocate by buying chocolates for the women who bought them chocolates.
In Korea, this apparently goes one stage further with Black Day on April 14th. This is when all the men who didn't get chocolates get together and have a consoling bowl of noodles.
Who said romance is dead?!

Spent lunchtime working on a hi-tech solution. Took some photos from over the last few years, added rodrigo's concerto d'aranjuez, making a short animated movie. She told me she had tears when she saw it. Phew...now I can relax!
