Monday Edition

Lovely (& incredibly tiring) 2-day seminar in Madrid is in the bag. I was advised, "Spaniards are unlikely to ask questions." Which Spaniards? We interacted at high volume and density from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for two straight days! (What I love about seminars like this is that, true or not, I really feel as though I've made some fast friends despite the short time. I think that's what really keeps me stirred up.) Finished Day 2 in time to sneak in two hours at the Prado. (Ye gads, the raw power of Goya's "the black paintings" is intimidating.) The photograph is Velazquez guarding the entrance to the museum.

Mr. Peters:
Thank you for your comments. In a short period of time our minds travel fast all over the world.
As artist of Spain each country needs TALENT.
Today I was schoked for what I read from the company MANPOWER.
Jeffrey Joerres, President of the company said:
"In 10 years, we will see many businesses failing because they haven't planned ahead for the talent shortage and are unable to find the people they need to run their businesses. This is not a cyclical trend, as we have seen in the past, this time the TALENT crunch is for real, and it's going to last for decades."

Innovate in start-ups is easy.
The challenge is to innovate in the big companies... We will try hard to do it, using best-sourcing and a good internal information flow.
Shall we succeed?
I will tell you in the future.
Thank you for your wisdom and experiences.

K. Sriram, I agree though I think it might have been my odd camera angle. (Or perhaps he needs the awkward pose to stay awake guarding the museum, day after day??)
