AirPost 15 March

Just playing. On the way home from Bucharest (via Frankfurt). Flying Lufthansa. They (alone?) have FlyNet—and I just created an account. (A+ for ease of sign-up.) We are currently flying over the Irish Sea, heading for the North Atlantic.

Sending an email Blogpost from 11K meters (to me) is very cool.

Tom Peters posted this on 03/15/06.

'Boys with Toys' - I know the feeling.

Last night I set up a new Website for our church and it is real fun! So much fun I was still going at 2 am having started at about 10 pm!!

By the way here is one for you to enjoy while flying ....

Apparently it an actual letter handed to a flight attendant on a Quantas flight by an 8 year old girl

Dear Captain

My name is Nicola I'm 8 years old. This is my first flight but I'm not scared. I like to watch the clouds go by. My mummy says the crew is nice. I think your plane is good. Thanks for a nice flight. Dont F**k up the landing!

Luv Nicola xxxx

Sorry - couldn't resist - Enjoy your flight Tom :-)

I don't fly nearly as much as you, but it's nice to think about being able to be connected in such circumstances.

BTW, FlyNet is Lufthansa's name for Connexion by Boeing; http://www.connexionbyboeing.com/index.cfm?p=cbb.serviceavailable&l=en.US&ec= lists all of their clients, so you can be ready the next time you fly any of them.

What is going on? Google ordered to hand over search data to the US government. All this wonderful technology may utimately just take away more freedom than it gives.

Are the American people going to sit and watch, transfixed by their high-tech toys as their civil liberties are slowly but surely chipped away?

Tom - please check out these Eclipse [et al] jets [via Albuquerque, former stomping ground] - seem to be just what you could really use / have fun with / build into new speaking contract agreements?

It'll be even nicer when we get to that point where we look back at this blog entry and marvel and how we marveled about an "airpost" to our "blog."

Always looking for the next turn in tech, but loving the present just as much. :)

Trevor,

Thats a good one!

As Socrates once said "Man must rise above the Earth—to the top of the atmosphere and beyond—for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives." SO DAMN TRUE...ISN'T IT?
