Tom, thanks for supporting our local economy here in Lafayette, Indiana, home of Subaru-America, by buying an Outback!!! Yes, we do manufacturing here and I'm glad you have one!
1. More like "Born to Shop"
2. "Born to Sip Starbucks"
3. "Born to Nordstrom Charge It"

Which is why I'm trying to encourage my girlfriend to lead.. :-)) with mixed success. But then, I think like a man, and a man's way of leading doesn't have to be a woman's way of leading.. So she's actually really successful right now as a leader!
Did I just say something so sensible that it's now sublime, or is this just a truism or am I really off the mark??
"Women are born leaders"...like that! Hats off to you Tom for your pro-woman stance, and not just in bumper stickers, but in recognizing that women make valuable contributions to our global society.

Joe, both my stepsons drive Outbacks too; we're doin' our best for Indiana!
Additionally, you may read the book ‘The Difference "Difference" Makes, edited by Debra L. Rhode.’ In the book, Harvard Business School's Robin J. Ely and Stanford University's Debra E. Meyerson propose a new approach to viewing and solving the women-in-leadership shortfall. Traditionally, three goals for fixing the problem have been considered: fix the women; create equal opportunity; and celebrate the feminine. But each of those perspectives, or frames, focus too narrowly on women. A new broader approach is needed, they argue.
More women are going to college than men. And many more are graduating. Soon we will have a Madame President. Change is afoot. My only concern: it ain't happening fast enough!
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.
