Happy Solstice

All of us here at tp.com want to wish all of you a happy first day of summer and a happy longest day of the year (at least all of you in the northern hemisphere). Get out there and soak up that sunlight. (Don't forget the sunscreen.) A change of season also means a new banner image at the site. More flowers, more sky, more bugs. Or are those butterflies flitting around there?

Erik Hansen posted this on 06/21/06.

I certainly don't want to be labeled a cynic or a pessimist, but I get much more exited about winter solstice... …every day is a little longer, not shorter as is the case with summer solstice.

Oh well, have a great solstice anyway! And go England!!!!

Michael, have I got a deal for you--I just experienced Winter Solstice here in Johannesburg!

i luv the banner.. it's beauuuutiful...

hey bring the quotes section at the top back, i was promised by your team, it will be back.. i want it back... NOW!

shohra, we're working on the quotes thing. we just got a little sidelined by the flowers and bugs and things. maybe not tomorrow, but soon.

and michael, i'm in total agreement with you. this summer solstice just means the days are getting shorter. and just at the beginning of summer. too cruel! love the winter solstice and knowing the days are growing longer. maybe only a minute a day (at least at my current latitude) but longer anyway.

Lovely banner. Could be a lot better with the "quotes".

:) Cheerful! I re-did my personal blog yesterday with a summer theme... and now TP.com has inspired me to plant some greens in the drab world of NEXT> too!

Now coming to TP.com is more like a sunny vacation with really cool friends.

Erik - any halfway decent IT person will tell you they're not bugs. They're unadvertised features.
