Saturday Edition
Kindness. Always.
Take the time! Listen! Increase your self-awareness of the "great, unseen battles" that most of your mates are fighting. Show consideration and humanity ... and, per Philo, "kindness."
Your reward will be a better-functioning and more productive team—and points as a thoughtful human being who, in appropriate circumstances, can call herself-himself a true leader.

Have you read ‘Shackleton's Way?’

I am half way through it - inspiring.
The ‘stand out’ point about Antarctic Explorer Ernest Shackleton’s leadership is his total ‘care’ for his followers. Nothing was too much trouble for him. One of his followers is asked - How did you survive? His answer - one word – ‘Shackleton.’
‘Shackleton’s Way’ – a must read

Trevor, also in the British pantheon Nelson was a sailor's sailor and Monty was a soldier's soldier.
I think that was also true of Napoleon. And it was surely true of my American hero, Grant.

Great names Tom - thanks.
People are always more important than process so why in management section of bookshops do we find so many books about process and so few books about people? To me it is no brainer but then I am but a simple thinker :-)
