Saturday Edition
There is still time to join the 370 people who have already booked for Tom's next UK public conference at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester on 7th March.
Tom is sharing the platform with his long-term friend, Charles Handy, who is widely recognised as Europe's best known and most influential management thinker. Although their work has been constantly cross referenced since their Skunk Camp and Age of Unreason days, they have never before shared a conference platform. It will be a very special day.
Full conference details are at www.benchmarkforbusiness.com. We hope to see you there.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Good luck with the conference Richard and to complete a wonderful day why don’t you take Tom to Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams that evening where my beloved Manchester United play French Club Lille, in the European Champions League last 16.

1. Hopefully "Last Call" for the tired/sleepy looking "Excellence 25" banner @ this hotel site ... quite incongruent with "exellence" on several levels ...

Best of luck with the conference - I am sure it will be terrific. Burt as we have discussed before - consensus seems to be that the core participating audience on these pages is not the same as the core attending audience at Tom's seminars. Nothing wrong with that at all. I am very glad that through these pages I have access to Tom and the team's thinking, and of the community via the comments area.
Lots of news today about climate change, but there is cheerful news too, England beat Australia at cricket. Proof once agian that unexpected things do happen.
Happy weekend all.

Thanks for your best wishes for our conference Michael. I think you are right about the split in Tom's core audiences. I don't think his peers on the speaking circuits are anything like as generous as Tom is with so much free access to his material via this site.
As a sad Brit who loves English cricket, but loves West Ham United more, lets hope for a very unexpected win double this weekend!

Keep blowing bubbles Richard :-) - thought you might like this
Billy was at school one morning and the teacher asked all the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came: fireman, policeman, salesman, bricklayer, captain of industry, doctor, etc. But Billy was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father. 'My father is an exotic dancer in a gay club and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes if the offer is really good, he’ll go out with a man, rent a cheap hotel room and let them sleep with him.' The teacher quickly set the other children some work and took little Billy aside to ask him if that was really true. "No" said Billy. "He plays football for West Ham United but I was too embarrassed to say"
Have a good weekend.

Trevor. I know why you would say that, but couldn't possibly comment! Yes I can. I heard a story once about a school boy who lived in Croydon ......?
