Tom -- Was there, and saw it all. Well done!
Agree that Nassim Taleb has identified something important. However, I am afraid there was far more of what NT calls "epistemic arrogance" in the room than warranted, so I am not sure he has many more fans than you and me among private equity guys.
If anyone could help these guys pull their heads up from their spreadsheets, you can, so I hope for their sake you did.
Best,

Nassim Taleb's new book, The Black Swan, has been released. I urge you to run out and buy it. I did.

"Excellence, Innovate or Die!" - How does this relate to Dell's decision to make "old" Windows XP an option in place of "excellent, innovative" Vista? Or should Vista be classified as a "Fast Failure"?
