I agree with your comments on the UK issues you raise, particularly the challenges faced in our healthcare system. The Daily Mail represents the opposite of everything I’ve ever believed in so I never read it. I wish I could believe the Daily Mail motive is to improve our healthcare system – I don’t.

The Mail: Is my wife's paper!
The Mail: Is a poor rag! (mine is the Observer)
The Girls: Have it in spades no doubt
The Girls: I have 3 now! The future is bright?
The Wine: My wife's favourite tipple is White!
The Food: My wife;s favourite is seafood?
The Girls: How did that happen then?

As regards the Daily Mail - I think I get your drift. When I was a kid and we had an outside WC in the council house I was raised in, we used the Daily Mail all the time or the News of the World :-)

Great exchange - hope our US friends are with our very British thread :-)

Tom - I am on vacation in Mexico, and I am also devoting my reading time to The Black Swan. (I had underlined the same lines on page 19) I know this will be one of those books that will change the way I look at things, now and forever.
