Tom,
Not sure where else to post this, so here it is :)
I just want to say Thank You. Thank You, and thanks to many other readers of this blog.
A year and a half ago, I was fired from my job as an English teacher at a university in Thailand (I was fired for things I'd written on my teaching blog).
At the time, I was upset-- as you can imagine. I mentioned it in a comment on this blog.
You posted a very encouraging reply, as did a few other readers. The gist of which were-- "You're not cut out for employment, you should start your own business."
I moved to San Francisco.. got another job. But the thought of starting my own business grew stronger. Seven months ago, I did it.
I can only say THANK YOU. I finally have the freedom to pursue my passion to its fullest. I'm having an amazing time. No, I'm not building a big company. But my life has changed tremendously-- for the better.
And so, thank you. Thank you for inspiring me to take the hardest and most difficult step-- the first one.

Wow, what a reply! If only the majority of us would gather the courage to "open the forbidden door" of what we really want to do, it would truly be an entrepreneurial world!

'I finally have the freedom to pursue my passion to its fullest. I'm having an amazing time. No, I'm not building a big company. But my life has changed tremendously-- for the better' - Ditto for me
