53 Hours, But Who's Counting? Me!

After, count 'em, 53 hours ... West Tinmouth VT to Boston to London to Johannesburg to Mauritius ... I'm ensconced in a fabulous oceanfront room at the Meridien hotel. I barely survived (remember, 53 hours in the same underwear) a TV crew that was waiting, upon my arrival at the hotel. The all-day seminar is for local business and government leaders.

That has to be the best 396-slide presentation I've ever seen.... how long does it take you to get through this talk?

1. "... in the year 2525 ... if I'm still alive ... " oh excuse me ... anymore for long trips I send Sean_Avatar & no one seems to notice ...

Too many books, too little underwear, as St Just might have said.

I saw how you practice what you preach...Passion!!!

on the side...if being normal is abnormal...isn't that itself make one weird? or is it the other way around...or maybe it's...or maybe not....hmm weird.

Hussain, I totally agree with you, couldn't have said it better ...

(Actually, as I think of it, we may have a global model of when weird is normal, any group of teenage boys?????)

Go on blame BA's one bag policy !!!!

As I sit awaiting my flight in Glasgow!!

Underpant hours as a quality measure of travel around 14 hours today so far!

Either that or a very specialist sale item on e-bay!!!! Disgustinng I know.

"Go on blame BA's one bag policy !!!!"

Not, as I hear it, BA (which supposedly hates the policy), but the airports authority, BAA. It's cost them about $50,000 from me alone. As with tonight and Mauritius, I fly LH via Frankfurt when humanly possible.

When we travel extensively (I just did 44 hours, CPT-JNB-NYC-DFW-SLC ... and then ... back) we often position ourselves as martyrs to the rigors of airline travel. Martyrs? Then I love martyrdom! Where else will I meet so many interesting, impassioned and intellectualy and economically-active people. I talk to everyone, take hundreds of photographs and then extract weeks worth of learning out of a mere ... 44 hours). Go, Tom!

Travelling through Frankfurt Tom? Drop me a note, and I'll deliver good Bavarian beer (and underpants) to the airport...

No, the underpants aren't leather!
