Tuesday Edition
If you happen to reside in the northern hemisphere, we hope that you're celebrating the longest day of the year. Tom is enjoying the solstice on his farm in Vermont. He's probably battling brambles, boating, or basking in the sun. I've been stealing away from the computer to admire the new peony blooms. Erik has most likely been out on his bike. Cathy, as I mentioned earlier, is soaking up baby love. Feel free to let us know what you do to enjoy the solstice. After all, this is what technology is for: freeing us up to savor life.

Enjoying a tasty Shiraz Cabernet as we approach the end of the longest day here in England - it is approaching midnight Thursday ... so I guess in a few minutes I can start practising wishing you folks a Happy Christmas :-)

Thanks for the reminder Shelley! The garden is in full bloom here in Michigan, even the morning glories I nearly drowned as seeds when I soaked them far longer than recommended. I too, spent the morning on my bicycle heading down the Lake Michigan coastline, followed by a run on the trail along the river. Perfect day, sun and 75 degrees centigrade. Makes February almost worth tolerating! And Trevor, I suspect the Christmas items will be showing up shortly in our department stores. Too soon...

While all the other boys are playing on their bikes, I am too. I just have a motor on mine. :) Beautiful weather for it too.

1. Here @ latitude 47 1st light comes up at 0330 & even with "daylight savings time" it is light @ 0500 ... so we did a radical 21K run - sure the dogs were mocking our cool run style & trash talking us ... their tails wagging.

In New Jersey, USA: A much-needed, energizing yoga class, then stepping out to enjoy the fresh-rain-at-the-beach smell and bask in the sunlight at 8:30 pm. Gotta love it.

As I live in the Lansing area, I know that west Michigan is the "hot spot" of the state, but 75 degrees centigrade translates to 167 degrees fahrenheit. Wow!! :))

Taking the morning off to watch my five-year old play the part of a sheep in her class assembly - this term they've been learning about farm animals.
