Event: Results Group, NZ

Tom spoke today in Auckland to the rapidly growing business-coaching company Results Group and its clients. He reports that while the economy is sagging significantly in New Zealand, the atmosphere is "a million miles from the despair and fear that seem to grip the USA."

Please let us hear from you if you were there, and if you'd like to get the PPT, here's the link.

Cathy Mosca posted this on 02/19/09.

Yes, leaders always bear the lion share of responsibility, often translated into great feelings of guilt and fear.

But this too shall pass.

An amazing day with Tom. I was expecting a very structured, slick presentation and was worried I might not "get it". Tom was interacting continually with the audience, his passion spilling over, and was a real joy to learn from. I need not have worried about the "slick" presentation, his format was relaxed and very enjoyable. I know everyone on our table "Got it".
Thanks Tom!

Keep drinking the NZ Kool Aid on vacation then come pay for play the "despair and fear that seem to grip the USA" - that you masterminded as keynote speaker for the Greatest Generation of Debt & Neoliberal Corruption - a Wow! project indeed - thanks!

Recession bonus: a. NYTimes goes bankrupt - b. USA velvet revolution takeover of north & south America - c. UK arrogance heritage & Labour are toast - d. illegals leaving in millions - e. C Love fortunes made on "stimulus" - f. Russia-Iran-Latin America petro leftists reduced to vermin

New Zealand is only about 11,000km, not a million miles, from the US :-)

I wasn't at Tom's presentation, sadly, but have recently travelled to the US, from NZ, and found the difference marked. I only wonder, has the despair & fear missed us or not yet arrived?

The 20th E...
Envy: The feeling we sometimes experience when someone else has something we dont!
Be it material or in the brain.
Is there a way to Bottle Tom's Thoughts?
I took a sip from that bottle today at the Hyatt
and loved it.

Tom is what we need a reality check. We all thing we are doing the right thing in our business and how can we fail. I normally do not enjoy sitting around for a long time listening to one person speaking but as far as Tom is concerned I could have sat there for days as he infectious and makes it easy to take it all in and how everthing can realt to the way each one of us and how we do things.

Tom Many thanks.

Thursday's Auckland seminar was AMAZING, INSIGHTFUL, INSPIRATIONAL, ENTERTAINING ... and right on the mark. I first saw Tom in Montreal in 1984. He was UNBELIEVABLY GREAT then ... but like a fine vintage wine, the 25 years since has just made him that much better. Thanks Tom for a great day. Come back soon!

Tom, fantastic day, I fell truly madly in love with your rambling, passionate, invigorating stuff. All the ideas and concept you introduced could kick-start someone’s brain even if they’d been dead for 6 weeks. You are an absolute Champion!

I really enjoyed the workshop and Tom's Personal-Style of Presenting. Podiums are for lecturers - and we all know what it's like to be lectured to by some academic! Too often in life we err on the side of being safe (and boring) I prefer to err on the side of being 'remarkable' (as Seth Godin calls it in his book 'Purple Cow')

You'll see from clicking on my name (below) that I have provided a link to a web page where I documented a few things from the Workshop (on Squidoo) for everyone to enjoy and use (links, videos, quotes etc etc) I hope you all enjoy the info.

More importantly - and especially in these times - I hope that we all remember we are 'human beings'. And should treat each other with respect and kindness.

Cheers
Mick

Tom - Your messages were a great reminder of what we are not doing. Whilst we are busy doing - we forget about BEING - yeah its' the soft stuff - but also the hard stuff. You connected with the audience by making them feel important, hey management by walking around right! LOL! Tom, you have inspired me to reconnect with my passion, People... Until Next Time Indi Hasta Luego! :)
