One Bolllinger employee left us the following Comment:
"I'm one of the very lucky 434 employees at Bollinger that were the beneficiaries of Jack's largesse. It was a wonderful gift, but not a huge surprise—Jack Windolf lives his life this way—in appreciation of all that he has and all that his employees contribute to the business. I've worked for him for 16 years and I can tell you, Jack is a class act and so is the company he's built. And I do mean 'built'—he's no flash in the pan CEO hired last year, but someone who's spent 40+ years of his life building something worthwhile and lasting. Bravo, Jack."
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Key here is "Flash in the Pan." Our society has gotten to where we throw the cash at the flash...and then wonder why things go awry. Good for Mr. Bollinger!

This was so very obvious, but so very good to read from someone who has been with the company for so many years and knows Mr. Bollinger. It is also obvious that the employees give of themselves diligently too.
There is indeed excellence on both sides; it's such a great example. Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks Trish for confirming who Jack Windolf truly is to you as a co-worker with him....
Trish you are truly lucky to have worked with Jack Windolf and vice versa. Congratulations to both of you for finding each other in the wonderful new world of work.
There are now so many wonderful stories of success of the human spirit over avarice - everywhere I look today I see this battle being won by the good guys. I was just reading about Chris Hughes in Fast Company who at just 25 years old is a living legend for his work at Facebook and on Obama Campaign. Upon meeting his parent Obama referred to Chris as 'my internet guy'. Chris is social network whiz kid who helped get Obama elected to the White House... its a great story see http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/134/boy-wonder.html
There are so many great stories about people with so much to give finding others who they can work with to make their dreams come true. Giving is the recurring theme in all the examples I have come across. It seems if you are prepared to give of yourself 'unconditionally' then you stand a good chance of finding an opportunity to do so much good for so many in today's workplaces.
The other night I went to Reach a not-for-profit organisation supported by corporates, individuals and government funding. Reach is 15 years old = same age as my youngest son. He is a New Crew member at Reach and so we went to a party designed to show parents exactly what this mob is all about. What they are all about is 'giving opportunities' to young people (16 - 25). They have programs that touch 58,000 kids each year and 35 of those kids are becoming New Crew members to ensure these programs continue. Reach is another great story of how and why young people with so much to give find people who can help them do just that. Reach is neat too because it aims to help each young person it reaches to in some way give to him or herself the opportunity to become the best rounded person they possibly can. Reach is an amazing workplace full of talented young people who are literally reaching out to their peers to help them on their journey through life see http://www.reach.org.au/index.php/the-landing-page/homeadult
I would echo the sentiment here loud and clear ... Thanks Trish..... I would add Thanks to so many more who are giving their best in workplaces all over the globe.
Richard.
