Wednesday Edition
Tom is in Korea when a great deal is happening in that country. He's speaking to the New Growth Engines'
Convention & Expo in Seoul. We wish him a safe trip, and please let us hear from you in the comments if you attended the event. If you would like to get the PPT, you can download it here.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.
What we're talking about

Looking forward to going through the slides Tom; where there is great upheaval there is great opportunity!

Koreans very stoic about all this (What else are you going to be when you live 40 miles away from a madman?), even teasing me about, "Hey, just a typical few days." I am very fond of them and impressed, have been for 40 years since I served with their Army guys. They epitomize my "bias for action" bias. Years ago, they were determined to get into semiconductors--and started building fabs more or less the next day, and had a huge market share qick as a wink.
Spent time with their Minister for the Knowledge Economy--they are probably the first to have a cabinet level job with that title.

The timing is perfect to effect change. TP is literally a flying and walking example of the one who does the most stuff succeeds, not to mention the kind of stuff being done. And, of course, having prepared, opportunities become more prevalent.
"If you prepare yourself . . . you will be able to grasp opportunity for broader experience when it appears."
--Eleanor Roosevelt.
Preparation is interesting. It's actually a now experience, although not necessarily looked upon as such. Preparation is action in time: past, present and future. Without it there is no structure and because of it there is present success and future opportunity.
The beauty in just doing stuff as TP espouses is the opportunity for better placement to be a change agent.
TP is a great example of this. Thank you.

Soul enough in Seoul - yes & we like the talk of taking Japan friends nuclear to solidify that part of the free world - because free does not come freely & most leftist tyrannies only understand the peace of their graves. PS - Kia gained market share in this downturn :>).
