Wednesday Edition
Our latest Cool Friend Diane Hessan is the CEO of Communispace, a social networking company that is a "pioneer in creating online communities to help marketers deeply engage customers." The company has built and managed more than 350 private online customer communities for an impressive collection of Fortune 500 companies. Erik and Diane discuss the company's business, social media, and Tom, whom Diane knows well. Given the business she's in, naturally there are many ways to find Diane online: Twitter, Twitter.com/CommunispaceCEO; blog, Blog.Communispace.com; and website, Communispace.com being only three among them. And, be sure to read her Cool Friends interview.
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Diane identifies Twitter's appeal as personal "power". Compare her twitter with Pres. Obama's: http://twitter.com/BarackObama - one is personal and powerful, the other reads like press releases. The White House should hire Diane as "Community Czar"!

Twitter now is No. 1 in use ahead of Facebook, et al. However, let us recall in March of 2000 the Nasdaq peaked at over 5,000 because all things eBusiness Internet was our future & salvation!
Now almost 10 years later after the Internet & Nasdaq crash & radical burn the Nas is at 1774.33 - so if Twitter goes away we will not be surprised :>)!

Twitter is probably like the CB Radio craze. But TP is always recommending us to seize crazy, never-to-be-repeated, opportunities ...
