Tuesday Edition
We're happy to announce that you can now subscribe to Tom's blog on the Kindle. We're still working out the kinks. For example, the graphics are not yet appearing, but we hope to have them up soon. The cost to subscribe is $1.99 USD per month. This amount is determined by the Kindle staff, we didn't have any input on that front. For those of you with iPhones, the Kindle app unfortunately does not yet allow subscriptions to periodicals or blogs. We'll let you know when that becomes available. Our thanks go out to all the readers who've expressed an interest in this as well as to David Vugteveen for very helpfully reporting back on performance. Enjoy!
Before blogging became all the rage, Tom was posting book reviews and Observations (essentially early blog posts) to this site. You can find the archives below.

Kindle has a free Whispernet interface that allows rapid downloads. The screen is much larger than an iPhone although in black and white. The Kindle weighs about 10 ounces, making it more convenient to read the rants in bed than a laptop, without wrinkling your pajamas. One more device/medium helps spread the Excellence message to a broader audience. And....the Kindle rocks!

Maybe more like "excellence" & hilarious biased rants & blogs & paying anything is passe as even the June 15, 2009 Time magazine cover story proclaims all things Twitter:

"paying anything is passe" So true, C Love, but there is no Kindle Czar yet and blogs have not yet been nationalized, so at least we retain the right to choose.

Kenji,
As you can see from David's comment, it's all about personal preference for the form of technology with which you'd like to consume the blog. As I mentioned in the post, the Kindle staff determines the charge. We simply want to make it convenient for Tom's Kindle-owning fans to be able to get their fix.

I am not into Kindle yet. I really don't need it. It is good to know, though, that Tom is prominent within leading-edge technologies. Well done!

Thanks for the comments. To be honest, the price 2-3 dollars /piece I can probably afford, as I often download itunes at price>0 but also other times download free mp3. I would denifitely buy it or subscribe once I get kindle. But, me too, havent get excited about kindle yet.
