Service: On Thoughtfulness

In this latest video, Tom presents his case for including thoughtfulness in your values statement. But don't do so unless you believe, as he does, that it is the key to success. Success through customer satisfaction and retention, employee satisfaction and retention, enhanced brand image, and more. buy viagra without prescription online

And perhaps more importantly, Cathy, success as a human being. It's no good in the values statement if you are not actually being thoughtful. Unless of course you're in the "if you can fake sincerity.." game.

Thanks, Cathy, for posting Tom's ...thoughtful...point. The "all about me/us" approach in business, public and personal life, "curvatus in se" blinds us to being thoughtful. Tom's message would send us all back to actually thinking for a change, determining true meaning, and evidencing that in our actions and words, rather than a rush to implement the newest philosophy of self-growth.

Cathy, viagra canadian pharmacy discount

Thanks for posting this. Here's a message everyone needs. In a pressure packed world we don't have time for thoughtfulness.

I've heard it said that a person in a rush doesn't have time for good manners.

My blog "see it say it" will help get us on the path to thoughtfulness.

Tom - Thoughtfulness is NOT a word for tough times - it’s a word for all times. We have problems now because we were not thoughtful enough to our employees in the good times. Too many people suggest solutions to problems when it is far too late. The time to get it right is when the sun is shining. Thoughtfulness is NOT a value when times are tough - it’s an eternal value.

Please keep the "T" in thoughtful...being "though"ful just doesn't seem right.

Indeed !

Let me tell you what such a value around ‘thoughtfulness’ says to me - it says a decision maker will take into consideration the impact to all parties concerned; and refrain from making decisions that might be unfair to any of them. Thoughtfulness means to me that you will pay attention to the details in the execution of your plans.

It says to every member of the organization that it is necessary to consider and even wrestle with other points of view before acting; even if it slows you down in the short term you come out ahead in the bigger scheme of things.

Cathy,

"Thoughtfulness" implies thinking and the contents of the mind. I'm not sure how much we can do to actually be thoughtful other than to think. If we do that, then others may or may not know about it.

I think the most important part is that we make sure that those we are thinking about know that we are and that we care. In business management we often get caught up in the big things. Yet it seems like the most thoughtful things are small.

where to buy real viagra without prescription Calvin, I think that you're right about thoughtfulness being about the mind. But I think that it's about the mind of the customer. The most thoughtful (and perhaps revolutionary) way to relate to customers is make sure that they are educated about our service.

Transparency and accountability: that's thoughtful business practice. It's also very difficult. Nobody said being thoughtful was easy though, right?

This is definitely a good piece for any vision statement. But I've yet to see it on any marketing plan for project justification. I'll try it on my next project proposal to see what kind of weight it holds.
