Thursday Edition
We thought you might enjoy reading an early review of The Little BIG Things by Stefan Stern, management writer for the Financial Times (sorry, registration required). Turns out, he liked it. And he penned one of my favorite descriptions of Tom: "[T]his 'wizard of wow!', this 'emperor of excellence' wins you over with his irrepressible energy and verve."

The folks I lead and train are usually a couple of decades younger than me. I've got several of Tom's books in my office and when they ask me who he is I'll tell them that if James Brown was the "Godfather of Soul" to think of Tom as the "Godfather of Excellence".
Old School rocks!

"The folks I lead and train are usually a couple of decades younger than me" - ditto with me Dave.
I recall a - shall we say - very traditional, rational, logical manager called William who I worked for in the mid 1980's. He asked me in his pompus and pretentious way who was this guy Peters I had mentioned a few times. I told him Tom Peters was a management writer who'd just written a great book called In Search of Excellence. Oh yes replied William 'Isn't he that brash, loud American? I said 'Yep you got it boss – that’s the one'
That conversation was a bit of a Genesis moment for me. I suddenly realised why I was in the wrong place. Shortly after I moved on to another job.
Ahhhh memories aye Dave?

Tom has been the "mental" leader in my career since the 80's. He certainly hasn't taught me everything he knows but just about everything I know when it comes to EXCELLENCE and creating THE service environment!
Looking forward to the read!

Twenty years ago Tom was an early inspiration for me to quit work as an accountant and become a business consultant. I have been a business consultant and coach for 17 years now. Thanks Tom

I would never mind being in the company of Theodor Geisel! Rarefied air indeed.
